An Open Letter to All San Antonio Area Pastors from David Walker:

Churches in the San Antonio area have been presented with a strategic “next phase” in ministering to the families who will be taking up residency in San Antonio following the devastation by Hurricane Katrina.

I, and others, met on Thursday morning, September 15, with the Vice President of the San Antonio Housing Authority to discuss critical housing needs for the families.

HUD is desperately requesting that the San Antonio area churches help with the adoption of up to 500 families. They have requested that a coordinating meeting take place ASAP to begin formulating plans for the churches involvement.

This emergency meeting with the Vice President of SAHA will be held:

Wednesday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m.
Alamo City Christian Fellowship in the Fellowship Hall

Alamo City is located at 6500 IH 35 North in north-east San Antonio. You can take the Rittiman Road exit off of IH 35 North or South to get to the church building.

Your attendance is needed at this URGENT meeting.
